I discovered this cute, cozy café this Saturday afternoon on my walk towards the river valley. I decided to stop in for some lunch and was pleasantly surprised to see such a variety of French and Mediterranean specialties. I had homemade soup (cream of chicken) and sandwich (tuna salad) combo - very tasty and all the sandwiches are made on their homemade croissants. I also ordered a latte and some dessert - triple layered chocolate mousse, which had white, milk, and dark chocolate topped off with whipping cream and chocolate syrup - yummy! The food presentation was great! The portions were perfect and the cost was great for all that! To finish off the meal, instead of giving a mint, I got a chocolate dipped strawberry - a nice touch! My waiter greeted me as soon as I entered. He was very courteous and polite plus helped me out with my choices - it was exactly what I wanted! And service with a smile! :) It is easily accessible either on the north or south sides of the Le Marchand Mansion. Parking is located to the west of the Mansion. My waiter also recommended that if you are to go in the evening on a Friday or Saturday, make reservations to ensure you get a table straight away. On Thursdays and Fridays they have a steak special and on Saturdays they have flambé night. Also on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, they have a pasta special including wine. Good food takes time! Bon appetit!
